Black Women Settle Lawsuit With Napa Valley Wine Train

Sistahs on the Reading Edge settled their race discrimination lawsuit against the Napa Valley Wine Train April 18.

The Wine Train’s governing board still needs to approve the undisclosed settlement with the 11 women who were allegedly unceremoniously kicked off of the train for being loud and boisterous in August 2015, according to media reports.

Golf and sun beaconed to us as Super G drove along Highway 5 in Rosie’s, our convertible Fiat, top down, with me in the passenger seat heading toward Palm Springs, California. The desert oasis has been the playground to the stars for decades and for this long weekend getaway it was going to be ours.

Second to third wave feminists (womynists) of color are being celebrated with an exhibit “Feminists to Feministas: Women of Color in Prints and Posters” in San Francisco, California.

Ancient Japanese Capital City Nara Seeks To Attract LGBTQ Visitors

Japan’s ancient capital city Nara is preparing to roll out the rainbow carpet joining a host of other Japanese cities opening its doors to LGBTQ travelers starting April 1.

The decision comes several months after the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association completed a successful outreach campaign with the Japan Association of Travel Agents in Japan and solidified a partnership with the Pacific Asia Travel Association late last year.
