This is their fourth Olympics together, but their first as a married couple walking out onto the field to compete for the United Kingdom.

Zika and pollution aren’t holding these women back from going for the gold. A record number of women athletes, 45%, qualified to compete in the games in Brazil.

The Grand Canyon will get its first female superintendent following a sexual harassment scandal that has rocked the world renowned park in Arizona.
Christine “Chris” Lehnertz, the superintendent of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, will take the lead at the Grand Canyon National Park, announced National Park Service Director Jon Jarvis on July 19.

It was a great day out on the green in Kauai, not because it was a particularly good day to play golf. It was actually a soggy day as it rained and the clouds continued to lift off of the course on Kauai, Hawaii.
Hey, I was golfing in Hawaii and not only that, I was golfing with a lady expert, Kellie Hines, who was general manager of Puakea Golf Course in Lihue. In November, she moved onto become head golf professional at Hokuala Ocean Course, formerly the Kauai Lagoons Golf Club – Kiele Course, at Timbers Resorts.

Five French women soldiers and one survivor of war scaled Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money to support victims of war.
The women who climbed in their uniforms, except for Cecile Trompette, who was a victim of war, made it to the mountain’s summit following a seven day trek April 10.

It’s no wonder Praia do Rosa attracts not only the under-40 jet set crowd, but is also popular among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender travelers and surfers alike.
It is a perfect location for South America’s first-ever lesbian surf camp May 9 – 16.
“It is the best in Brazil,” says Marta responding to Girls That Roam’s question about how the surf is. “Lots of Brazilian pro-surfers come from here or train here.”

Gay Games and World Outgames organizers announced holding a single LGBTQ sporting tournament in 2022, announced in a blog post on the Federation of Gay Games website March 4.
Gay Game X is set for Paris, France in 2018 and the next Outgames is set for Miami, Florida in 2017.
