The Women’s Travel Group Wins Prestigious Travel Award

The Women’s Travel Group Was Awarded Travel Weekly’s Silver Magellan Award

Travel Weekly honored The Women’s Travel Group with the Silver Magellan Award for solo women’s travel the company announced September 12.

The award-winning women’s travel company was recognized for its “outreach to solo women who wish to find a travel group to join,” according to Wednesday’s news release.

It’s the second time the women’s tour company has won the same award. The company was recognized for its tours for solo women travelers in 2015.

The premier travel industry award honors the best in travel and salutes outstanding travel professionals selected by a panel of industry peers. Winners will appear in the October issue of Travel Weekly.

The women’s travel company has offered all-women small group tours to interesting destinations around the world for more than 25-years. Beyond the destination, tours include unique visits, private visits, and insights into the culture, customs, and people provided by local and expatriate women. Women on the trips also include fine meals, hotels selected for their location, quality, amenities preferred by women and safety.

The Women’s Travel Group founded by Phyllis Stoller, a former corporate banker who was looking for friends to join her on trips, has taken women around the world since 1992.

Upcoming trips for 2019 include travels to Albania, Croatia, Ethiopia, Iran, Italy, Provence, South Africa, and other interesting destinations.

There are spaces still left for some 2018 tours to India during Diwali Festival (October 2018), Spain and The South for Thanksgiving (November 2018), and Brazil and Argentina for Christmas (December 2018).
