Sistahs Living On The Edge Aboard The Napa Valley Wine Train

The popular historic train ride rolls through the Napa Valley between downtown Napa and St. Helena serving up Napa Valley wines and fine dining along with tours of storied wineries along the tracks.
It’s a great excuse to get the girls together for an afternoon. At least that’s what Lisa Johnson, who organizes the Sisters on the Reading Edge, a book club, thought when the 11 women boarded the wine train for their annual wine train trip August 22.

United Airlines is about to experience turbulence yet again with a system-wide Day of Action on July 16th.
The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) has called for the Day of Action in support of negotiations for a fair contract as the major United States airline company reports record profits this Thursday.
The airline has failed to reach a unified labor contract with its 24,000 flight attendants or complete its merger with Continental, which have been happening simultaneously since 2010, reports eTurbo News. Union contracts were supposed to be completed by the end of 2011.

It’s the time of the year where we all gather around the hearth and the dining room table to get together with friends and family, which often involves packing your bags and yourself into a car, plane or train.
This coming Wednesday, when the Thanksgiving holiday weekend kicks off, 46.3 million people will travel home (more than 50 miles from their own home) to sit around the family table for turkey, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and other holiday favorites. This is the largest migration home for the holidays since 2007 and a 4.6% increase from 2013, according to AAA.
