Ski season is upon us, which is a perfect excuse to hit the slopes with your besties for a girlfriend weekend getaway.

Across the US, ski and snowboard resorts are just begging you to come and enjoy their slopes, dining, spas, and women’s ski days and all-women ski camps as the fresh powder falls blanketing the mountains in a white heaven.

To find the best US ski resorts, Girls That Roam asked AllTheRooms, the world’s largest accommodations site, to suggest the best US ski destinations to get away with your girlfriends. AllTheRooms found these seven destinations for this ski season for the double the fun: power and friends.

1. Alta and Snowbird Resorts, Utah

One of the top resorts in the US comes with two for the price of one and ladies day and all-women ski camps at both resorts. The Alta and Snowbird resorts are so close together that you’ll get to enjoy both, regardless of which you actually stay in and if your preference is for skis or snowboards. The resorts sit just outside of Salt Lake City in the northern part of the state and boast of more than 45 feet of snowfall each year, as well as 4,700 acres of skiable land. Be sure to pack up all the gear and head out to the Summit Complex or to Hidden Peak, some of the top slopes in the area. Skiers don’t worry about being barreled down upon by snowboarders. The resorts cater exclusively to each: Snowbird is for snowboarders and Alta is for skiers. Alta also offers Alta Ladies Day for intermediate to expert skiers every Thursday starting January 10 through February 14 and all-women ski camps and Snowbird offers all-women led and operated ski camps in January and March. Back at the resorts, you’ll find all the peace and quiet you and the girls need to rest and relax after hitting the slopes, from small rental apartments to charming, historic hotels, and more.

2. Breckenridge Resort, Colorado

Five lifts, slopes across a full range of levels, and nearly 3,000 acres of snow-covered land to ski and snowboard down, Breckenridge is the ultimate ski and snowboard destination. Breckenridge features a ski school for those who are just starting out, as well as steep slopes for intermediate and advanced level skiers and snowboarders. Back in the village of Breckenridge, you can spoil yourselves with tons of restaurants with spectacular mountaintop views, spas, shopping, and ski-in-ski-out services, making it easy to combine a relaxing girls weekend with the ski trip of your dreams.

3. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Wyoming

Wyoming’s most popular, and one of the US’s most popular ski resorts is right in Jackson, Wyoming, below Grand Teton National Park. The resort features the Mountain Sports School and the Elevate Women’s Ski Camp with top women coaches and pro-women skiers to get you ready to hit the slopes. The slopes feature 2,500 acres of skiable terrain and a vertical drop of over 4,000 feet, making it one of the biggest vertical drops in the United States. The two mountains, Rendezvous and Apres Vous, house terrain across all levels, with the majority catering to the intermediate and advanced level skiers. For the ultimate challenge, check out Corbet’s Couloir, a mountain pass through the rocky cliffs of Teton Village. Jackson Hole itself is a charming mountain community with towering alpine style resorts, spas, pools, gyms, and more, giving you and the girls everything you need in one convenient place. 4. Stowe Mountain Resort, Vermont

Why haven’t you planned your trip to this charming New England town yet? Stowe, Vermont is as beautiful and quaint as a town from a storybook, offering towering mountain views, local bookshops and art galleries, and easy access to Vermont’s quirky cities of Montpelier and Burlington. Plus, Stowe is home to the Stowe Mountain Resort, meaning visitors have access to Vermont’s highest peak, Mount Mansfield, plus a vertical drop of 2,360 feet, 314 inches of snowfall each year, over 100 trails across all skill levels, 12 lifts, cross-country ski paths, and terrain parks to try out the ramps and jumps on skis or snowboards. The Stowe Mountain Resort sits right at the base, letting you come right inside to warm up by the fireplace or in the spa. If you’re traveling with your girlfriend, not your girlfriends, Stowe is the place to be — Ski Vermont co-sponsored the nation’s largest LGBT family festival at Stowe Mountain.
