It’s Going To Be A Decadence Weekend For Queer Girls Heading South To Dykeadence In New Orleans

by Heather Cassell

If the girls are being sinful in Las Vegas, they are indulging in debauchery in New Orleans and this is the weekend to do it at Dykeadence.

Dykeadence is the queer women’s event that is thrown in conjunction with Southern Decadence, a popular festive gay celebration that’s been going strong for 42 years during Labor Day Weekend in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

This year’s theme is “Sexy At Six” and the weekend is “loaded with more glittery, enthralling, sexy, titillating events” for the thousands of attendees, August 29 – 31.

The women’s side of the debaucherous event is celebrating its 6th annual weekend long events for the girls with comedy, dance and pool parties and of course marching in the annual Southern Decadence Parade.

“Dykeadence’s events are always full of revelers, dancing, alcohol, and of course, debauchery. This year we will be even sexier and more fabulous than ever!” says the organizers in the July 30 news release announcing the holiday weekend’s events.

“I always have so much fun at all the events as I dance and drink my way around New Orleans with the Dykeadence crew,” says Amanda Golob, volunteer core committee member and marketing representative of Dykeadence, in the release.
