Four lucky couples have the chance to tie the knot this fall in Seattle with the “Marry Me in Seattle” campaign.

The campaign is to celebrate the passage of Referendum 74, which legalized same-sex marriage in Washington in December 2012, and the support for marriage equality in Washington that followed.

There’s still 11 days for four lucky couples to be randomly selected for an all expense paid four-day trip to Seattle and wedding on the first Wednesday of the month between September and December this year.

The campaign kicked off July 1 and ends July 31.

Seattle’s gay Mayor Ed Murray will officiate wedding ceremonies starting September 3.

“It’s an honor to be part of this campaign and I look forward to officiating at the ceremonies for the lucky couples who win wedding trips to Seattle,” says Ed.

The winning wedding package includes air transportation by Alaska Airlines, a four-night stay at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel (515 Madison Street; 206-583-0300; Marriott.com/Hotels/Travel/Seasm-Renaissance-Seattle-Hotel/), a wedding ceremony at Canlis Restaurant (2576 Aurora Avenue North; 206-283-3313; Canlis.com), DJ and music, wedding photography, champagne courtesy of Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery (14111 Northeast 145th Street, Woodinville; 425-488-1133; Ste-Michelle.com), beer from Hilliard’s Brewery & Taproom (1550 Northwest 49th Street; 206-257-4486; HilliardsBeer.com) and dessert from Trophy Cupcakes (1815 North 45th Street;206-632-7020; TrophyCupcakes.com). Guests of the hosted Seattle weddings will be transported to and from the ceremony courtesy of Uber Seattle.

As of the end of June 2013, nearly 2,500 same-sex couples said, “I do,” in Washington. These are the latest figures available.

Couples can register for their chance to win the “Marry Me in Seattle” at 2DaysInSeattle.com/marryme as well as get wedding check lists and a complete wedding guide to Washington. The website also includes more than 30 romantic Seattle packages, tips for catering, DJs and wedding music, florists, getting around, photographers, venues and much more.

The best part is that if you aren’t one of the happy couples selected, the “Marry Me in Seattle” website will be a permanent resource for tying the knot in Washington. Just imaging getting married in Seattle; Walla Walla, the state’s wine country; high in the green mountains and many other romantic destinations the state offers.
