CSM Lodging names Kathleen J. Burda Vice President of Sales and Marketing

CSM Lodging, a division of CSM Corporation, has named Kathleen “Kate” J. Burda as vice president of sales and marketing for the hospitality company announces Bill Upshaw, president of of lodging and residential of CSM Corporation Aug. 6.
“It is with extreme pleasure that I welcome Kate to CSM Lodging,” says Bill. “Her highly successful professional background in sales, marketing and revenue management for leading hotel brands and hospitality management companies will be a tremendous asset to the future growth of our company. We look forward to Kate being an active member of our executive team.”
Kate joins CSM Lodging having previously served as vice president of revenue for Paramount Hotel Group. In this role she led the revenue and e-commerce functions for properties within brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Radisson and Starwood Hotels. Prior to this, Kate was vice president of sales for Hyatt Hotels, responsible for 168 properties and seven regional vice presidents of sales. She earlier held the same position for Extended Stay Hotel Company.
While working with the InterContinental Hotels Group, Kate was regional sales director overseeing all aspects of sales, marketing, and sales leadership for 25 hotels. She was promoted to this position following success as director of national sales and financial services for the company, and before this served as director of sales. She has also held sales leadership positions for Hilton Hotel Corporation, CapStar Hotel Company and Marriott Hotel Corporation.
Kate received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin and her Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado. She is relocating to Minneapolis.
