Ecuador Hopes To Be The Next Great LGBTQI Travel Destination

The LGBT Chamber of Commerce Ecuador announced the launch of Proud Destinations, the South American country’s new LGBTQI destination marketing association for LGBTQI-owned and -friendly travel and hospitality businesses and LGBTQI travelers.

Brazil can be very challenging for even the well-traveled for the same reason that makes it so interesting, said Lauren. It’s Brazil. The country isn’t focused on major chains hotels, restaurants, or shops. Its public transportation system has its own unique logic that Brazilians understand, but is completely foreign to foreigners. Brazilians aren’t as focused on technology, so smartphones won’t aid in helping travelers get around and English isn’t spoken widely.

In Argentina a commuter train slammed into a busy Buenos Aires station on Saturday morning (Oct. 19), injuring at least 79 people in exactly the same spot where a similar train crash killed 52 others last year. The train went straight through the end-of-line buffers.
