Traveling Britons Free To Be Carefree When Vacationing Abroad

A lot of factors come into play when planning a vacation: where to go, where to stay, what to do, where to eat, how to get there, cost, weather and much more, but human rights and more specifically lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer rights? … That’s a low priority, according to a recent United Kingdom survey.

The rights of the residents who UK travelers encounter at the destination of their choice in question rated low, very low, like a 7% low, in a recent survey conducted by YouGov that was commissioned by the International HIV/AIDS Alliance.

US State Department Sued To Allow Third Gender Passports

Denied a passport, Dana Zzyym, an intersex activist, is suing the United States State Department.

The Fort Collins, Colorado resident, who doesn’t identify as male or female, filed a lawsuit refusing to have to be forced to identify themselves by the gender markers currently available to applicants for US passports October 26.

Monday also was International Intersex and Transgender Awareness Day.

Access Denied: Strip Club’s Ungentlemanly Behavior Toward Two Ladies

It wasn’t a happy hour when a couple was denied entry into Miami’s “ultimate gentleman’s club” during a recent vacation to the Sunshine State.

The reason? Gigi Otálvaro-Hormillosa and Heather Cox were denied entry into Dean’s Gold strip club in North Miami Beach by a hostess and a manager because they were unaccompanied “by a man” recently while on vacation, according to multiple media reports.

Sistahs Sue Wine Train for $11 Million

Humiliated, 11 members the Sistahs on the Reading Edge book club filed a racial discrimination lawsuit against the Napa Valley Wine Train on October 1.

The women believe they were singled out because they are black. The law suit alleges racial discrimination, libel, defamation and breach of contract. They are seeking $11 million in damages.
The Train Manager Anna Marquinn, who identifies as a Latina, denies that the removal of the women was racially motivated, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

Sistahs Living On The Edge Aboard The Napa Valley Wine Train

The popular historic train ride rolls through the Napa Valley between downtown Napa and St. Helena serving up Napa Valley wines and fine dining along with tours of storied wineries along the tracks.
