The Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism rolled tossed out the welcome carpet and rose petals with the launch of its new website, WeddingsinPalmSprings.com, July 16.

The desert resort town is celebrating its diamond anniversary just as Prop 8, the law that temporarily took away same-sex marriage from LGBT Californians, gains the right again.
Palm Springs is a popular LGBT resort destination in California. The desert resort town is the home of The Dinah and to Lucy and Gail Presents Dinah in Color among other LGBT events. But it hopes it will also become a wedding and honeymoon destination in addition to being an art and culture destination.

Lesbian couples and their friends can find information about hotels historic inns, gay-friendly resorts and other wedding locations that showcase the beauty and laid-back vibe of the desert resort town. They can also find party suppliers and event planners to caterers, florists and advice on wedding licenses in Palm Springs.
There is also a complete destination guide with ideas on how to enjoy the perfect honeymoon.
The city has the largest collection of LGBT resorts in the United States with nearly 30 gay and lesbian-owned and/or operated resorts and guesthouses.
