A man kept walking past me and staring at me while I was eating dinner at a restaurant recently. Super G had left the table for a moment. In my head, I was asking myself, “Is there something wrong with me? Is he looking at me because I’m with a girl who looks somewhat masculine? Is he looking at me because I’m with a woman of color? Why is he looking at me?”

On the third pass-by the man finally stopped and asked me, “What is on your shirt?”
